Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions: clear agreements, quality craftsmanship.
Important notice: This version was translated by AI for informational purposes only. Only the original Dutch version is legally binding and applicable.
Good agreements make good friends. At Werco we build long-term relationships, so we keep our terms simple. After all, you want custom panels — not a legal maze. Fair, correct and no hidden surprises.
Below you'll find the rules for every quote, order and delivery. To keep things running smoothly, we work exclusively under these terms. Your own purchase conditions are therefore set aside.
You can always obtain these terms on simple request.
1. Your project: quotes, prices and packaging
We're happy to put together a fair price for you. Our quotes are non-binding and remain valid for seven days.
Prices: All prices are in euros, excluding VAT, and based on collection from our premises ('ex works').
Packaging: We stack your goods neatly on Euro pallets and secure them with strapping bands. We charge a deposit of € 12.30 per pallet.
Price fluctuations: Because the market can be unpredictable, we base our prices on current costs. If raw material prices rise by more than 15% after we've reached an agreement, we may adjust our prices proportionally. Don't agree with the new price? You have the right to cancel the order free of charge.
Intended use: Always tell us when ordering exactly what you'll be using the product for. Without that information, we cannot be held liable if something goes wrong in practice.
Cancellation? Because we make your panels specifically to measure, free cancellation is not possible. We will charge the costs already incurred (materials and labour) plus our lost profit, with an absolute minimum of 30% of the total invoice amount.
2. Production and delivery
We do everything we can to get your order ready promptly. Allow approximately 4 weeks for delivery. This is a good estimate, not a deadline. A delay is therefore not grounds to cancel the order or claim compensation. As soon as the goods are ready in our warehouse, we'll let you know — and the risk passes to you at that point.
By default, you collect the goods yourself. On request, we can arrange transport for you and bill it separately. Any damage during transit is not our responsibility, even if we organise the shipping on your behalf.
3. Everything about our panels and materials
Wood and panels have their own character. A few important things to keep in mind:
Warping: Panels are a living material and warping is a natural risk. We only offer a guarantee against warping if the panel has exactly the same finish and construction on both sides, and there is no overloading.
Matt finishes and dark colours: Handle with care — these are significantly more susceptible to stains and scratches. Take extra precautions during processing and use.
Sustainable timber: We work with respect for nature. Products labelled 'PEFC100' or 'PEFC70' consist of 100% or 70% PEFC-certified timber respectively (our certificate number: WOODBE-PEFC-COC-001262).
4. When things really go wrong (Force Majeure)
Sometimes the world throws a spanner in the works. Think of force majeure events such as storm damage, fire, unforeseen strikes or major machinery failure at our premises or those of our regular suppliers. If this makes it impossible for us to carry out our work, we may pause or cancel your order without either party owing the other compensation.
5. Payment and ownership
We love a smooth flow — financially too. That's why we send all our invoices digitally via Peppol. Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. You'll always find our bank account number quickly on the contact page of our website.
New customer? For a first order we ask you to pay in advance, before collecting your goods.
Late payment? We immediately apply the statutory interest rate for commercial transactions. If payment remains outstanding after a reminder, we increase the amount by a flat rate of 10% (with a minimum of € 150) for administrative costs. Furthermore, at that point all your other outstanding invoices become immediately due and we pause production and delivery of your current orders until the balance is cleared.
For the avoidance of doubt: until the invoice is paid in full, the panels remain 100% the property of Werco. Goods you entrust to us also serve as collateral for any outstanding amounts.
6. Warranty & complaints
We're proud of our craftsmanship. If we make a demonstrable error (that does not fall under the natural properties described in section 3), we take responsibility. We replace the faulty panels or refund a maximum of their invoiced value. Indirect damages are not compensated.
Notice a problem on receipt? Let us know within 8 days by registered letter. An email works just as well for us, but make sure you request a read receipt — the risk of non-delivery lies with you.
7. The small (but logical) print
Language: Don't understand these terms because they're not in your language? Ask us for a translation in good time. Otherwise, we assume everything is clear.
Updates: We may update these terms from time to time. The new rules take effect 30 days after we've shared them with you.
If we can't agree: We prefer to resolve any issues with a good conversation and common sense. If that truly doesn't work, Belgian law exclusively applies and disputes are submitted to the competent court in Kortrijk.
